- Ethiopian Airlines domestic flights are not counted towards tier qualifying segments.
- All Partner airline flights will not be counted towards tier qualifying segments (effective January 2022).
- There may be cases in which miles are not accrued after boarding even if membership number is registered in the booking. Please keep all necessary documents for retroactive registration until mileage accrual is confirmed.
- Miles will be accrued only for members who board a flight.
- Bonus miles will only be credited for flights that are legible for mile accrual.
- When travelling alone and using multiple seats to carry bulky luggage such as instruments or paintings, miles will only be accrued for one person.
- If seat is upgraded including Upgrade Awards, and the difference in Booking Class is not paid by the member, miles will be accrued based on the original (paid booking class) booking class.
- If seat is upgraded to Business class with last minute upgrade surcharge payment, Business Class miles will be credited based on the accrual rate of ‘J’ Booking Class provided that the original economy class ticket was a normal revenue ticket. If the original economy class ticket was an award ticket issued against miles redemption, miles will not be credited both for the original award ticket and for the paid upgrade.
- If seat is upgraded to Business class with Plusgrade, miles will be accrued based on the original (paid) booking class.
- If a seat is downgraded, miles are accrued for the boarded class.
- Some booking classes are not eligible to earn miles. Check the earning miles calculator above for eligibility.
- Awards (award tickets and upgrade awards) are not eligible to earn any type of miles.
- Flight segments from awards (award tickets and upgrade awards) do not count for tier qualification.
- Under no circumstance will mile credit be granted for flights not boarded due to delay, cancellation, etc.
- Duplicate registration of Mile with Service Partner program is prohibited.
- Once miles have been credited to a Service Partner program, they cannot be converted to ShebaMiles Miles. Conversely, once miles are credited to ShebaMiles program, they cannot be converted to a Service Partner program.
